The Infancy and life of Christ window is a broken arch lancets from the beginning of the 12th century (1145 - 1155). Several restorations took place since the creation of these stained glass window. The most important restoration was between 1894 and 1902.

Silicone (CAF 3) was applied on the edge of broken glasses, after cleaning. It was also used to stick local protective glasses. Bay 50 was restored in 1976 by Gaudin. Some other references for cracks glued with silicone you can find also at Chartres bay 37 panel 44 and panel 16.
