The fourth window in the Becket Miracle series. A tightly organised, repeating pattern of square, petallic, hatchet-shaped, ornamental and rectangular border panels. There are six stories, based on Benedict’s
Book IV. The miracles concern blindness, leprosy, drowning, madness and the Plague.
The panel nII 7 dates to the 13th century with some 19th and 20th century replacements.

According to reports made during the 1984 conservation work, deionised water and cotton wool swabs were used to clean the panel, as well as a scalpel and a soft brush. Acetone was applied to stubborn stains and where necessary air-abrasion with glass beads was applied.  Fractures were bonded with Rhodia® CAF 3 + 33 Silicone. According to previous reports, the wax was applied with a brush and then polished mechanically.
The protective glazing was also installed in 1984. Protective glazing panels, made from 3 mm float glass (not distorted),
are held into the original ferramenta with linseed oil putty.
The stained glass panels are held in an aluminium sub-frame inside the building. The interspace between the original and the protective glazing panels is approximately 40 mm. The system is externally ventilated.

More information about the window is available in the Object-Data by Constglass FhG ISC. A short description about scientific investigations can be reached directly: here.
