The Death and assumption of the virgin window is a broken arch lancets from the beginning of the 13th century (1205 - 1215). Several restorations took place since the creation of these stained glass window. One of the restorations was in 1898 by Bonnot.
Previous treatment: In 1988, practical tests with the Viacryl®-Desmodur as consolidant were carried out in LRMH. The treatment of the grisaille on internal side of the panel, recommended by LRMH, was two applications (5% of Viacryl®-Desmodur in ethyl acetate) with a paint brush on weathered glass paint only. The overflowing of an excess of consolidant could be taken off with cotton soaked with ethyl acetate, after the beginning of polymerisation (1,5h). Silicone was applied on the edge of broken glasses, after cleaning. It was also used to stick local protective glasses. Bay 42 was restored in 1988 by Petit studio (Consolidant and Silicone).
More information about the window is available in the Object-Data by Constglass FhG ISC (bay 42 panel 20, bay 42 panel 21, bay 42 panel 22). A short description about scientific investigations can be reached directly: panel 20, panel 21 and panel 22.
